silent – beneath the august moon
my thoughts and prayers flow out of me

for these are what i pray to Thee

for people i have never seen

where food is scarce – and peace a dream

may my prayers – reach heaven’s Light

i pray for people yet to know
of Heaven’s Love – Eternal Truth
May their eyes be allowed to see
The wonders that You’ve given me

of all the people – in the world
next i pray for just one soul
that special heart You’ve given me
the gift of love – my heart – can see

she is the answer of my dreams
a living proof to answered prayers
she is the caregiver – of my heart
she is the witness – of my soul

when i am near – we shed such tears
for love is all we know
when i am far – may we not miss
the words of Your – promises.

Your gift of Faith – new eyes to see
Your land of hope – where there’s no tear
Your promise to love – and never leave
Your blessing of Love – heart made whole

and finally Lord – if i may ask
if i may be so bold
if i may ask – for just one prayer
before i reach – my heaven’s home…

You know my heart – You know my prayer
even before it’s asked of Thee
You know my life – and where I’ll be
And so in silence – I pray to Thee

And so the hours of night have passed
Your morning hope – my eyes now see
my tears and prayers – are in Your care
save them – for when i meet You there
