Some say – that angels – are not real
I know this is not true
My life was spared the other day
As I – will show – to you
I’d fallen deep – as in a dream
Beneath the air-filled skies
Down to the bottom of the pool
Not understanding – why
I wanted life – up at the top
Where air was fresh and free
Yet something pulled and tugged at me
Wanting to take – my life
And then my Angel came to me
And brought me Will and Hope
The next I knew – my lungs had air
My eyes – with Hope – could see
Another time I found myself
Walking along the tracks
I sensed some danger coming strong
And then – I turned – my back
There right behind – and coming strong
A locomotive train
Yet something pulled and took my strength
Calling away my life
And then my Angel rescued me
And touched my mind and eyes
My legs had strength to run and flee
Saving again – my life
The final time – my Angel came
Was late again – one night
Out in the garden summer air
My soul – had met – Despair
The summer haze had fogged my head
And cries where all around
Twas then I felt the curse of death
And landed on the ground
I begged my Angel – “Rescue me”
“Deliver me – from hell”
And of your Hope and cherished Light
I’ll always – ever – tell
And through that night He stayed with me
Till morning light was found
From life to death and life again
My soul has been preserved
And now my Angel stays with me
Not leaving nor return
And how I long to see His face
Then happy – I will be
So next time someone tells to you
That angels are not real
Tell them – there is one who lives today
With Love – and Hope – and Light
